| Lactation Interaction | Warf 5mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby. |
| Expert Advice | Good medication for preventing blood clots. For best results, take Warf at the same time every day. Requires regular blood test (PT-INR), to make sure Warf is working properly. Warf increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling). Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood). Interacts with food or other medicines; hence require frequent dose changes. If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Warf temporarily. Warf should not be used in the pregnancy. You may breastfeed. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems. |

| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Warf 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid Warf 5mg Tablet with Vitamin K rich food such as spinach, collards, broccoli, spring onions, cucumber and dried basil. |
| Driving | Warf 5mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive. |
| Kidney | Warf 5mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Warf 5mg Tablet is recommended.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular blood tests are recommended when you are taking this medicine. |
| Liver | Warf 5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Warf 5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. |
| Mechanism of action | Warf 5mg Tablet is an oral anticoagulant. It acts by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Although it does not dissolve the existing blood clots, it inhibits them from growing larger and causing serious problems. |
