Pregnancy Interaction Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Expert Advice Good medication for preventing blood clots. For best results, take Warfaxin at the same time every day. Requires regular blood test (PT-INR), to make sure Warfaxin is working properly. Warfaxin increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling). Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood). Interacts with food or other medicines; hence require frequent dose changes. If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Warfaxin temporarily. Warfaxin should not be used in the pregnancy. You may breastfeed. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET with Vitamin K rich food such as spinach, collards, broccoli, spring onions, cucumber and dried basil.
Driving Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET is recommended.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular blood tests are recommended when you are taking this medicine.
Liver Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Warfaxin 5 MG TABLET is an oral anticoagulant. It acts by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Although it does not dissolve the existing blood clots, it inhibits them from growing larger and causing serious problems.
