Alchohol Interaction Taking Telmisartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure.
Pregnancy Interaction TelBenina Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of TelBenina Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach upset, Ankle swelling, Headache, Dizziness, Weakness, Numbness of extremity, Edema (swelling), Flushing of skin, Increased potassium level in blood, Decreased blood pressure.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. TelBenina Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on TelBenina Tablet. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of TelBenina Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver TelBenina Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of TelBenina Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of TelBenina Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Mechanism of action TelBenina Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Benidipine and Telmisartan which lower blood pressure effectively. Benidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
