Alchohol Interaction Taking Telmisartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure.
Pregnancy Interaction Inzit TL 40 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Inzit TL 40 Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach upset, Ankle swelling, Headache, Dizziness, Weakness, Numbness of extremity, Edema (swelling), Flushing of skin, Increased potassium level in blood, Decreased blood pressure.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Inzit TL 40 Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Inzit TL 40 Tablet. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Inzit TL 40 Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Inzit TL 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Inzit TL 40 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Inzit TL 40 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Mechanism of action Inzit TL 40 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Benidipine and Telmisartan which lower blood pressure effectively. Benidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
