Alchohol Interaction Atenolol and alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy Interaction Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Sleepiness, Headache, Ankle swelling, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Slow heart rate, Palpitations, Nausea, Edema (swelling), Constipation, Tiredness, Cold extremities.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment.
Liver Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.
Mechanism of action Zanlodi AT 5 mg/50 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and atenolol which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
