How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Venphylin-M Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
Driving Venphylin-M Tablet SR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Venphylin-M Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Venphylin-M Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Venphylin-M Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Venphylin-M Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Venphylin-M Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Acebrophylline and montelukast. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
