Lactation Interaction Tamodex 10mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice Your doctor has prescribed Tamodex to treat breast cancer. Tamodex lowers estrogen production in your body and reduces the growth of hormone sensitive tumors. Tamodex may harm the unborn baby if used during pregnancy. Hot flashes (sudden sweating and feelings of warmth) may occur on starting treatment with Tamodex, but should go away with time.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Fatigue, Skin rash, Fluid retention, Vaginal bleeding, Hot flashes, Vaginal discharge.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tamodex 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Tamodex 10mg Tablet may cause tiredness. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney Tamodex 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tamodex 10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Tamodex 10mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Tamodex 10mg Tablet blocks the effects of estrogen, a natural female hormone in breast tissue which is responsible for breast cancer.
