| How to Use | This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area. |
| Driving | Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Certain areas of your body will be numb for about 2-4 hours after having this medicine. This may affect your ability to drive. |
| Kidney | Surect Cream is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Surect Cream may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. |

| Mechanism of action | Surect Cream is a combination of three medicines: Lidocaine Topical, Metronidazole Topical and Sucralfate (topical). Lidocaine Topical is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases pain sensation. Metronidazole Topical is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Sucralfate (topical) is an anti-ulcerant which forms a coating over the affected area of skin. This creates a physical barrier that protects the skin from further other injury, allowing it to heal. |
