Pregnancy Interaction Dermozyme Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Dermozyme Cream is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.The baby's skin should not come into direct contact with the treated area of skin. Water-miscible cream/gel is preferred as ointments may expose the baby to harmful effects of Dermozyme Cream via licking.
Common Side Effect Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness).
How to Use This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Driving Dermozyme Cream may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Dermozyme Cream in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Dermozyme Cream in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Dermozyme Cream is a combination of three medicines: Fluocinolone Topical and Neomycin Topical which treat bacterial skin infections. Fluocinolone Topical is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Neomycin Topical is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
