Pregnancy Interaction Candifem Tablet VT may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry your vaginal area. Dip the tablet in lukewarm water just to moisten it. Lie on your back and gently insert the tablet into the vagina as high as possible with or without the use of an applicator as mentioned in the label. It is best to use it just before bedtime.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Candifem Tablet VT is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Candifem Tablet VT may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Mechanism of action Candifem Tablet VT is a combination of two medicines: Miconazole and Ornidazole.tMiconazole is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Ornidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
