Pregnancy Interaction Sarpix 1000mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Sarpix 1000mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice The Sarpix should be used only for occasional relief from increased stomach acid. Do not take it for more than 2 weeks, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor. Avoid Sarpix, if you show signs of appendicitis or inflammed bowel (such as lower abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, nausea, vomiting). Please consult your doctor. Do not take the Sarpix at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines. It may interact with other medicines. Do not take calcium or sodium bicarbonate containing antacid with milk or milk products.
Common Side Effect Constipation.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sarpix 1000mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Driving Sarpix 1000mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Sarpix 1000mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sarpix 1000mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Sarpix 1000mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sarpix 1000mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Sarpix 1000mg Tablet is an inorganic salt that neutralizes the excess acid in the stomach.
