Alchohol Interaction Taking Rofecoxib+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy Interaction Rofepar Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Rofepar Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Indigestion, Flatulence, Swelling of hands, Swelling of feet, Flu-like symptoms.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rofepar Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food, if it causes stomach upset
Driving It is not known whether Rofepar Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Rofepar Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Rofepar Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, Rofepar Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver Rofepar Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Rofepar Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, the use of Rofepar Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Mechanism of action Rofepar Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Rofecoxib and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen. Rofecoxib is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever.
