| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Rexcof DX Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs. |
| Driving | Do not drive unless you are feeling well.As Rexcof DX Syrup may cause dizziness, blurred vision or the inability to think clearly. |
| Kidney | Rexcof DX Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Rexcof DX Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.Use of Rexcof DX Syrup may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease. |

| Mechanism of action | Rexcof DX Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Chlorpheniramine and Codeine which relieve dry cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which may trigger cough due to allergy. Codeine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. |
