Alchohol Interaction Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Common Side Effect Stomach upset, Dryness in mouth, Headache, Fatigue, Sleepiness, Allergic reaction.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Mechanism of action Alerdain A 5 mg/75 mg Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
