Alchohol Interaction Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Lactation Interaction Bisolol H 2.5 mg/6.25 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Constipation, Fatigue, Headache, Diarrhoea, Dizziness, Cold extremities, Slow heart rate, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Altered blood lipids, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Increased calcium level in blood.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bisolol H 2.5 mg/6.25 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.This medicine should be preferably taken in the morning.
Driving Bisolol H 2.5 mg/6.25 mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Bisolol H 2.5 mg/6.25 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Bisolol H 2.5 mg/6.25 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular blood pressure monitoring is advisable for dose adjustment.

Mechanism of action Bisolol H 2.5 mg/6.25 mg Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. tBisoprolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
