| Lactation Interaction | Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. |
| Common Side Effect | Nausea, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Fatigue, Headache, Dizziness, Slow heart rate, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Altered blood lipids, Cold extremities, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Increased calcium level in blood. |
| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet is to be taken with food. |
| Driving | Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. |
| Kidney | Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients. |
| Liver | Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. |
| Mechanism of action | Vinicor-D 50mg Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Chlorthalidone. tMetoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. |
