How to Use This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Driving Betnovate-C Cream does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Betnovate-C Cream is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Betnovate-C Cream may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of kidney function test may be advised while you are taking this medicine.
Liver There is limited information available on the use of Betnovate-C Cream in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Betnovate-C Cream is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) which treat skin infections. Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) is an antibiotic with additional antifungal action. It works by preventing the growth and multiplication of the both bacteria and fungi.
