Lactation Interaction Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Stomach irritation, Dryness in mouth, Fatigue, Dizziness, Sleepiness, Allergic reaction, Nervousness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Restlessness, Headache.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
Driving Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Zincocet P 5 mg/500 mg/7.5 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Cetirizine, Paracetamol / Acetaminophen and Pseudoephedrine which relieve common cold symptoms. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks histamine (a chemical messenger) to relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
