| Mechanism of action | Multimix 50 mg/15 mg/2 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Theophylline, Ephedrine and Bromhexine. Theophylline is a bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic agonist which works on the blood vessels and increases the blood flow to heart and lungs. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. |
