Alchohol Interaction Bronkasma Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Bronkasma Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Bronkasma Tablet is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.Avoiding breastfeeding for 2-4 hours after Bronkasma Tablet can further decrease the exposure of medicine to the baby.
Expert Advice It is better to take Bronkasma in the evening around 7-8 pm for protection against asthma symptoms throughout the night. Bronkasma will not work for sudden wheezing or asthma attacks once they start. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you. Not as effective as steroid inhalers for asthma. Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better. Notify your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with the kidney, liver or heart disease, or have a smoking history. Your dose may need to be adjusted. Taking Bronkasma can reduce the requirement of steroids by 50%.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Headache, Abdominal upset, Restlessness.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bronkasma Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Bronkasma Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Bronkasma Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Bronkasma Tablet is recommended.
Liver Bronkasma Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Bronkasma Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Bronkasma Tablet is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways. This opens the airways and makes breathing easier.
