| Pregnancy Interaction | Amace-BP Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor. |
| Lactation Interaction | Amace-BP Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. |
| Common Side Effect | Ankle swelling, Headache, Tiredness, Palpitations, Increased potassium level in blood, Sleepiness, Cough, Altered taste, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Decreased blood pressure, Stomach upset. |
| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amace-BP Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. |
| Driving | Do not drive unless you are feeling well.As it is advisable to exercise caution when driving with Amace-BP Tablet. |
| Kidney | Amace-BP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amace-BP Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for better dose adjustment. |
| Liver | Amace-BP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amace-BP Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Amace-BP Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring. |
| Mechanism of action | Amace-BP Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and benazepril which lower blood pressure effectively. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently. |
