Alchohol Interaction Pregabanyl-SR Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Pregabanyl-SR Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Pregabanyl-SR Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Dizziness, Sleepiness, Tiredness, Uncoordinated body movements.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pregabanyl-SR Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Pregabanyl-SR Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Pregabanyl-SR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pregabanyl-SR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Pregabanyl-SR Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Pregabanyl-SR Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Pregabanyl-SR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Methylcobalamin and Pregabalin. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Pregabalin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
