Alchohol Interaction Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Penz-IT 40mg/150mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.
Driving Penz-IT 40mg/150mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Penz-IT 40mg/150mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Penz-IT 40mg/150mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Penz-IT 40mg/150mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Penz-IT 40mg/150mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pantoprazole and Itopride which relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Itopride is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract and helps food move more easily through the stomach.
