How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ortholix 50 mg/750 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving It is not known whether Ortholix 50 mg/750 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Ortholix 50 mg/750 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ortholix 50 mg/750 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Ortholix 50 mg/750 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Ortholix 50 mg/750 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diacerein and Glucosamine which treat osteoarthritis. They are proteoglycan synthesis stimulators which help in the formation of cartilage (the soft tissue around the joints) leading to joint repair. Apart from this, Diacerein also lowers inflammation (swelling) of the joints.
