Alchohol Interaction Ojoy 20mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Ojoy 20mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Ojoy 20mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice Works well in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, including difficult cases. Allow at least 4 to 6 weeks to see full effects on thoughts and mood. You may feel dizziness and drowsiness when you start taking Ojoy. For the first week, avoid activities that require you to be alert. Ojoy may cause weight gain, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar. Tell your doctor if you have any unusual thoughts or behavior, inability to control muscle movements, or fever and excess sweating. Elderly people with dementia shouldn't take Ojoy. Avoid cigarette smoking as it can decrease Ojoy blood levels.
Common Side Effect Sleepiness, Weight gain, Increased prolactin level in blood, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ojoy 20mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Ojoy 20mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Ojoy 20mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Ojoy 20mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver Ojoy 20mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Ojoy 20mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
