Alchohol Interaction Norcip TZ Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy Interaction Norcip TZ Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Norcip TZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Dryness in mouth, Metallic taste, Headache.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Norcip TZ Tablet is to be taken with food.Taking it empty stomach can cause stomach upset.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Norcip TZ Tablet may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney Norcip TZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Norcip TZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Norcip TZ Tablet is not advised in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Norcip TZ Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Norcip TZ Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Norcip TZ Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Norfloxacin and Tinidazole.tNorfloxacin kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Tinidazole kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
