Expert Advice Do not take tranexamic acid: before the start of menstruation. If you are a woman >45 years of age If you are allergic to tranexamic acid or any of the ingredients of this medicine Do not continue tranexamic acid and consult your doctor If you experience skin rashes or other serious symptoms like swelling of face, lips and throat causing breathlessness or difficulty swallowing, as this may denote allergy. Consult your doctor if menstrual bleeding is not reduced after three menstrual cycles. To be sure this medication is not causing harmful effects, your vision may need to be tested while you are using tranexamic acid. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Driving Nexamic 500mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Nexamic 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nexamic 500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Nexamic 500mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Nexamic 500mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Nexamic 500mg Tablet prevents the breakdown of clots and stops bleeding.
