Alchohol Interaction Taking Naproxen with alcohol can increase the risk of stomach bleeding caused by naproxen.
Pregnancy Interaction Naprowel plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Naprowel plus Tablet is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Common Side Effect Headache, Indigestion, Flu-like symptoms, Dryness in mouth.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Naprowel plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Naprowel plus Tablet may make you feel dizzy, depressed, sleepy, tired, or make it difficult to sleep. It may also affect your vision. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney Naprowel plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Naprowel plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Naprowel plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Naprowel plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Naprowel plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.
Mechanism of action Naprowel plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Naproxen and Domperidone. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.
