Alchohol Interaction Taking Aspirin with alcohol increases the associated risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy Interaction MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Stomach pain, Diarrhoea, Headache, Fatigue, Dyspepsia, Upper respiratory tract infection, Dizziness, Itching, Flushing of skin, Increased bleeding tendency.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is to be taken with food.
Driving MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action MONOSPRIN DS 60 TABLET is a combination of two medicines: Isosorbide Mononitrate and Aspirin which prevent future episodes of angina. Isosorbide mononitrate dilates the blood vessels of the body. As a result, work load on the heart is reduced which in turn decreases heart-related chest pain. Aspirin is an antiplatelet medicine. It prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots.
