Mechanism of action | It acts by suppressing basal and stimulated secretion of growth hormone (GH). It also suppresses LH response to gonadotrophin-releasing hormone and reduces the secretion of gastrin, vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), insulin, glucagon, secretin, motilin and pancreatic polypeptide. |
