Alchohol Interaction Taking Aceclofenac+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen+Chlorzoxazone with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy Interaction Medac P Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Medac P Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Heartburn, Stomach pain, Diarrhoea, Loss of appetite, Tiredness, Sleepiness.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
Driving Medac P Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney Medac P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Medac P Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Medac P Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Medac P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Medac P Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, the use of Medac P Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Mechanism of action Medac P Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Aceclofenac, Paracetamol / Acetaminophen and Chlorzoxazone which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.
