Pregnancy Interaction Levomac AZ Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Levomac AZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Headache, Dizziness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping).
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Levomac AZ Tablet is to be taken with food.
Driving Levomac AZ Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney Levomac AZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Levomac AZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Levomac AZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Levomac AZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Levomac AZ Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levofloxacin and Azithromycin. Levofloxacin works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Azithromycin stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
