Alchohol Interaction Taking Leflunomide with alcohol may cause liver problems.
Pregnancy Interaction Lefno 20mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Lefno 20mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice You have been prescribed Lefno to control the symptoms and slow down the progression of rheumatoid arthritis. It will take 6-8 weeks for Lefno to work. Hence, keep taking the medicine. Get blood tests done every 4 weeks. This is to make sure that Lefno is not harming your liver or blood counts. Avoid alcohol when taking Lefno as it could harm your liver. Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Lefno. Lefno may increase the risk of infection. Avoid being close to people with cold, flu or other contagious illnesses. Tell your doctor if you experience nausea or diarrhoea.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lefno 20mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Lefno 20mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Lefno 20mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lefno 20mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Lefno 20mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
