Alchohol Interaction Labtop V Forte Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy Interaction Labtop V Forte Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Labtop V Forte Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. \nBreast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.If a single dose of Labtop V Forte Tablet is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.
Common Side Effect Vaginal burning sensation, Itching, Irritation.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Labtop V Forte Tablet is to be taken with food.Ideally to be taken with a light meal for best results.
Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Labtop V Forte Tablet may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Labtop V Forte Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Labtop V Forte Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Labtop V Forte Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Labtop V Forte Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Clotrimazole, Lactobacillus, Povidone Iodine and Tinidazole.tClotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism which maintains the vaginal tract in a healthy condition by producing anti-infectious substances. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic applied on skin which is infected or is likely to get infected. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA.
