How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Itopral 40mg/150mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.
Driving Itopral 40mg/150mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Itopral 40mg/150mg Capsule in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Itopral 40mg/150mg Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Itopral 40mg/150mg Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Itopral 40mg/150mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Pantoprazole and Itopride which relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Itopride is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract and helps food move more easily through the stomach.
