| Mechanism of action | Metolactone 2.5 mg/50 mg Tablet is a combination of two diuretics: Metolazone and Spironolactone. They work by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, metolazone also relaxes blood vessels but causes potassium loss. Spironolactone is added as it conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body. |
