| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Met XL 3D 50/6.25 tablet is to be taken with food. |
| Driving | Met XL 3D 50/6.25 tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. |
| Kidney | Met XL 3D 50/6.25 tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Met XL 3D 50/6.25 tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Met XL 3D 50/6.25 tablet is not recommended in these patients. |

| Mechanism of action | Met XL 3D 50/6.25 tablet is a combination of three medicines: Chlorthalidone, Metoprolol Succinate and Telmisartan which lower blood pressure effectively. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate, while Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels. |
