| Pregnancy Interaction | Frulac Sachet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. |
| Lactation Interaction | Frulac Sachet is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. |
| Common Side Effect | Dehydration, Decreased sodium level in blood, Breast enlargement in male, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Decreased calcium level in blood, Increased blood uric acid. |
| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Frulac Sachet is to be taken with food.Avoid Frulac Sachet with dietary sodium. |
| Driving | Frulac Sachet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. |
| Kidney | Frulac Sachet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Frulac Sachet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Frulac Sachet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. |
| Liver | Frulac Sachet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Frulac Sachet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. |
| Mechanism of action | Frulac Sachet is a combination of two medicines: Furosemide and Spironolactone. Furosemide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also relaxes blood vessels, but causes potassium loss. Spironolactone is also a diuretic which conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body. |
