Pregnancy Interaction Fluvoxin 100mg Tablet XR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Fluvoxin 100mg Tablet XR is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice It can take 2-3 weeks for Fluvoxin to start working. Do not stop treatment suddenly as this may cause a stomach upset, flu-like withdrawal symptoms and sleep disturbance. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Fluvoxin, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness. If your doctor asks you to stop Fluvoxin, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. The addiction/dependence potential of Fluvoxin is very less. You may develop anxiety during initiation of therapy.
