Alchohol Interaction Taking aceclofenac with alcohol may increase risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy Interaction Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Nausea, Vomiting, Indigestion, Heartburn, Stomach pain, Diarrhoea, Loss of appetite, Discoloration of urine.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.This will help to avoid acidity and heartburn.
Driving Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Flexic 100 mg/50 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Diacerein which relieve muscle and joint pain.tAceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Diacerein is a proteoglycan synthesis stimulator which blocks the chemicals that cause inflammation and pain and helps in the building of cartilage (the soft connective tissue in the bones near the joints) in the body.
