|Taking alcohol can increase your uric acid levels and hence aggravate gout.

|Your doctor has prescribed Fbx to reduce episodes of gout attack. Take Fbx at the same time every day, with or without food. Take plenty of fluids (2-3 litres) daily while on Fbx. Notify your doctor if you develop a rash. This could be a sign of allergy and should go away on discontinuing Fbx. To ensure that Fbx is working, you may have to undergo blood tests regularly. When you first start taking Fbx, you might have more gout attacks. Do not stop Fbx on having an acute attack of gout as that could make an attack worse.

|How to Use
|Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Fbx 80mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
|Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Fbx 80mg Tablet may cause dizziness, sleepiness, blurred vision, numbness or tingling sensation. This may affect your driving ability.
|Fbx 80mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fbx 80mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available regarding the use of Fbx 80mg Tablet in these patients.

|Mechanism of action
|Fbx 80mg Tablet is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. It works by decreasing blood uric acid, which is the chemical that causes gout.
