| Lactation Interaction | Espin-AT Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby. |
| Common Side Effect | Headache, Nausea, Tiredness, Sleepiness, Dizziness, Palpitations, Slow heart rate, Abnormal dreams, Swelling of legs, Cold extremities, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk). |
| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Espin-AT Tablet is to be taken empty stomach. |
| Driving | Do not drive unless you are feeling well.As patients taking Espin-AT Tablet may suffer from dizziness, headache, fatigue or nausea the ability to react may be impaired and this may affect your ability to drive. |
| Kidney | Espin-AT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Espin-AT Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment. |
| Liver | Espin-AT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Espin-AT Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. |
| Mechanism of action | Espin-AT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: S-Amlodipine and Atenolol which lower blood pressure effectively. S-Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while Atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. |
