Alchohol Interaction Epilep 300mg Tablet ER may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Epilep 300mg Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Epilep 300mg Tablet ER is safe to use during lactation. \nHuman studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Expert Advice Epilep should be taken at the same time every day to maintain consistent levels in your body. Do not stop using Epilep without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better. It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Epilep, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness. It may increase blood sugar levels.Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines to treat diabetes. Do not start any medicine including herbal or ayurvedic without telling your doctor. As it may significantly change the Epilep levels. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Common Side Effect Nystagmus (involuntary eye movement), Double vision, Sleepiness, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Gingival hyperplasia, Increased hair growth, Osteoporosis.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Epilep 300mg Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Epilep 300mg Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Epilep 300mg Tablet ER is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Epilep 300mg Tablet ER may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Epilep 300mg Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Epilep 300mg Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
