Pregnancy Interaction Dox 10mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Dox 10mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice Your doctor has prescribed Dox to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Take Dox with food and plenty of fluids to avoid an upset stomach and acid reflux. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take calcium, antacids or iron at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking Dox. Discontinue Dox and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.

How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dox 10mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.Take this medicine one hour before food or two hours after food, with a full glass of water. You can take this medicine with food if it upsets your stomach.Avoid Dox 10mg Capsule with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.
Driving Dox 10mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.Visual disturbances such as blurring of vision may occur during treatment with doxycycline.
Kidney Dox 10mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Dox 10mg Capsule is recommended.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver Dox 10mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dox 10mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Dox 10mg Capsule is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
