Alchohol Interaction Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
Pregnancy Interaction DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Common Side Effect Stomach pain, Diarrhoea, Headache, Flatulence, Dryness in mouth, Weakness, Flu-like symptoms.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR is to be taken empty stomach.Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.
Driving DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.
Mechanism of action DIRAB D 10 MG/30 MG CAPSULE SR is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Dexrabeprazole which relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract and helps the food move more easily through the stomach. Dexrabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
