| Expert Advice | Pyrimethamine when given with sulphonamide, it should be given with folic acid (vitamin) supplement. Do not use pyrimethamine if you are allergic to pyrimethamine or any other ingredient. Do not take pyrimethamine if you have megaloblastic anemia due to folate deficiency. Do not take pyrimethamine if you have kidney or liver problems; fits (seizures); depression; bone marrow problems; stomach or bowel problems (eg, malabsorption syndrome); phenylketonuria, or alcoholism. |

| How to Use | Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Daramin 25mg Tablet is to be taken with food. |
| Driving | It is not known whether Daramin 25mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. |

| Mechanism of action | Daramin 25mg Tablet is a weak base that reaches high concentration within the malarial parasite and causes accumulation of toxic heme pigment, which kills it. |
