Alchohol Interaction Taking Telmisartan with alcohol may excessively lower the blood pressure.
Pregnancy Interaction Cilacar T Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Cilacar T Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Altered taste, Ankle swelling, Headache, Dizziness, Weakness, Numbness of extremity, Nausea, Edema (swelling), Stomach upset, Diarrhoea, Flushing of skin, Increased potassium level in blood, Decreased blood pressure.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cilacar T Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Cilacar T Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney There is limited information available on the use of Cilacar T Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Cilacar T Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cilacar T Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Cilacar T Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Mechanism of action Cilacar T Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cilnidipine and Telmisartan which lower blood pressure effectively. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.
