Alchohol Interaction Cetcor Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy Interaction Cetcor Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction No information is available on the use of Cetcor Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Common Side Effect Stomach upset, Dryness in mouth, Fatigue, Dizziness, Sedation, Allergic reaction.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cetcor Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving It is not known whether Cetcor Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney Cetcor Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetcor Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver Cetcor Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cetcor Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Mechanism of action Cetcor Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
