Pregnancy Interaction Celact 100mg Tablet MD is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation Interaction Celact 100mg Tablet MD is probably safe to use during lactation. \nLimited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Expert Advice It can be taken with or without food. Celact may cause fewer stomach problems as compared with other NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Naproxen. It can also affect kidneys or cause permanent kidney damage if taken for a long time. Celact can raise your risk of blood clots, heart attack, or a stroke. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Common Side Effect Abdominal pain, Palpitations, Nausea, Vomiting, Headache, Gastritis, Heartburn, Edema (swelling), Dyspepsia, Flatulence, Increased blood pressure, Dizziness, Constipation, Diarrhoea.
How to Use Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Celact 100mg Tablet MD may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Driving Celact 100mg Tablet MD may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney Celact 100mg Tablet MD should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Celact 100mg Tablet MD may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Celact 100mg Tablet MD is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver Celact 100mg Tablet MD should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Celact 100mg Tablet MD may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Celact 100mg Tablet MD is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. Inform your doctor and stop taking this medicine if you develop any signs of liver toxicity.
Mechanism of action Celact 100mg Tablet MD is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) called COX-2 inhibitors. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that are responsible pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
