Mechanism of action | Briogut R Sachet is a combination of two medicines: Racecadotril and Saccharomyces boulardii which reduce symptoms of diarrhoea in children. Racecadotril has an anti-secretory effect. It reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. This helps to reduce the amount of fluid loss from the body in diarrhoea. Saccharomyces boulardii is a live microorganism which restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset due to intestinal infections. |
